When I started in the Lord, I wrote down things in a journal so I could remember them as I went along. One night, I wrote down a list of goals that I wanted to remember and accomplish throughout my life in Christ. I wrote down the things that immediately came to mind.
Before the Lord, I had good intentions when I started something, but had a very hard time following through with many of the things I started out to do. I did not want to be that way in the Lord and I asked him to help me. My thoughts were to write them down on paper so I could remember them and do them. I am so glad I did! It is still good to be reminded of them today, just as much as the day I wrote them down. Here is the list. I hope it blesses you as much as it has and still does bless me.
Goals
to have a good attitude
no hardness
doing what I say I’m going to do
minding my own business
treating others with respect
no backbiting
not being ashamed to speak of God
to obey (obeying God and authorities over me in the Lord)
communicating with others - fellowship
being dependable - reliable
to be sweet!
not a "know-it-all" or a pouter or puffed up
not depressed or down, but a light!
outgoing
BE HAPPY!!
to have faith and trust in God
!!!OBEY!!!
to have a humble heart, not full of pride
to love people the way God loves people
to be caring and giving
to please God
And, to finish what God has started in me!
This is my list to follow and add to all along the way as to how to be a faithful servant of God. I believe He has, and still is, helping me with these goals! Thank you Lord!
